Since 1963, American Atheists has challenged the intrusion of religion and religious tradition in schools, work, and public policy while educating millions about what it means to be an atheist.

Americans United for Separation of Church and State

Americans United for Separation of Church and State is a nonpartisan educational organization dedicated to preserving the constitutional principle of church-state separation as the only way to ensure religious freedom for all Americans.

Appignani Humanist Legal Center

Through amicus activity, litigation, and other legal advocacy, their team of cooperating lawyers provides legal assistance to defend the constitutional rights of religious and secular minorities by directly challenging clear violations of the Establishment Clause and seeking equal rights for humanists, atheists and other freethinkers.

The Center for Freethought Equality

The Center for Freethought Equality is a sister organization of the American Humanist Association dedicated to lobbying and political advocacy. The Freethought Equality Fund PAC is a project of the Center for Freethought Equality.

Freedom From Religion Foundation

The FFRF, an educational, watchdog organization working to keep church and state separate, has chalked up significant legal accomplishments nationwide. And it has sounded the alarm on a multitude of other First Amendment violations.

Humanist Legal Society

The mission of the Humanist Legal Society is to promote and protect humanist values in the legal system by providing support and networking opportunities to lawyers, judges, legal academics, law students and paralegals throughout the United States and by fostering development of humanism in the law.

Secular Coalition for America

This is a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization whose purpose is to amplify the diverse and growing voice of the secular community in the United States. Headquartered in Washington DC for ready access to the federal government, activist partners and the media, the organization also has chapters in state capitals.
